Bhd. has introduced holographic
security labels which give customers
the ability to identify genuine Brother
Consumables at the point of purchase.
This label is introduced for ink
cartridges, toner cartridges and drum
units for Brother Printers and All-InOnes.
This is the latest in counterfeit
combating tactic employed by
Brother along with their aggressive
and continuing legal action against
counterfeiters. Before this, there was
no sure-fire way to distinguish what is
a high quality, genuine Brother product
from a cheap low quality imitation.
Consequently, some customers
may have experienced poor product
performance or instant product failure,
most likely caused
by counterfeit
products. This
set of events
prompted Brother
to adopt a next
generation
holographic
security label
developed by
E.I.du Pont de
Nemours &
Company Inc.,
as well as a fully
integrated online
authentication system
