in the market, NVIDIA’s GeForce
GTX 750 Ti is already receiving a
lot of love from their partners who have
put their own spin to this entry-level card.
The first to actually pass us their very own
version of the card is ASUS and as always,
they have truly made the card their own.
ASUS’ version of this card no longer
sports that very simple single fan heatsink,
instead, it now sports a heatsink with two
fans that improves thermal efficiency with
better airflow and lower noise emission.
The heat sink actually looks much like
ASUS’ patented DirectCU cooler but it
actually isn’t. However, don’t let that fool
you as it still does its job pretty well as it
is quiet and keeps the card nice and cool
even when under a heavy load.
Besides just bolting on the new heat
sink, ASUS have also made a few small
changes such as the selection of ports.
Their version no longer comes with a
DisplayPort but instead has two DVI-D
ports. This is not really much of a problem
as most users are still relying on DVI-Ds.
Another change to the card is that it now
needs to be connected to a six pin PCIe
power connector. It actually doesn’t require
the extra power and it is placed in a very
weird position. Sadly, there’s still no SLI
connector so those looking for a multi-GPU
setup will have to look at other alternatives.
