device. There are two ways to transfer new commands: either one or more commands that are already listed in the software should be transferred to the Harmony Remote, or the Harmony Remote should learn a command that is not yet listed in the software.
For the first way, select one or more commands by clicking on the check box(es). Subsequently, click on the button 'Learn Selected Commands' and follow the instructions to transfer the command. Upon request, connect your Harmony One to the computer and align your old remote onto the Harmony One such that the IR emitter diode of the old remote points to the IR receiver diode of Harmony One (at the lower end). They need to be five to ten centimeters away from one another. Follow the instructions on the monitor. Successfully learnt infrared commands are check-marked on the monitor.
If the Harmony One needs to learn a command that does not have an entry in the database, you yourself can define a command: to do this, scroll down and click in the input text field in the 'Learn new command' section. Enter the name of the relevant command. Subsequently, click on the 'Learn New Command' button. The process is similar as above from here onwards.
