available in Microsoft Word that makes life a lot easier
when it comes to group work on a document as every
member would have their own opinions and ideas. Particularly
important is the basic setting shown in step 4 whether
formatting changes should be tracked or not. In many cases, it
is sufficient to record content changes and to disable this
option.
Instead of displaying the selections right up to customising
the details, it is much easier to deal with markups as per step
5. Thus, you can continue to subsequently log the changes,
always highlighting only the most interesting items.
Configuration for the recipient
Coordination is key when working with co-authors so that
each one works with the appropriate and same settings. The
most important being the basic tracking and the formatting
options.
Each individual should customise a hidden Word option for
smooth work flow. To do this, follow steps 6 and 7. Only when
these settings match, will you be able to see the document
exactly as the previous author had last saved it. If you don’t,
you will always see all the markups and you will have to
manually switch the view. As the author, you should always
change the view to “Final” before saving so that the next
person gets a clear document and can decide upon the
selections he wants to display.
