50 MP of Canon Cameras

The Big of photography will
never be the same before, as
Canon announces their cameras
with the highest megapixel count ever
– the new EOS 5DS and 5DS R. Also
announced together with the new DSLRS
is Canon’s first 4K-capable video camera,
the XC-10; as well as their imaging
online portal – ‘Your Life with Canon’.
“The EOS 5DS and 5DS R mark a
milestone in Canon’s range of DSLRs,
with their breakthrough high image
resolution in the 35mm format. Both
cameras are an excellent choice for
discerning users who appreciate the
fine details, thanks to their ultra-high
image resolution and excellent range
of features,” said Wataru Nishioka,
President and CEO of Canon Marketing
Malaysia.
The two cameras feature the
company’s 50.6 megapixel 35mm
full-frame sensor – Canon’s highest thus
far. The two cameras also feature dual
DIGIC 6 image processors that includes
a 5 frames per second shooting speed.
With Optical Low-Pass Filter cancellation
for the 5DS R, this translates to higher
resolution photos while reducing the
moiré effect.
With 61 high-density reticular
autofocus (AF) points that is on-par
with the 5D Mark III, it is paired with a
newly developed mirror vibration control
system to counteract shaky hands for
great images with every shutter press.
For professional and advancedamateur videographers, the XC10
video camera records in 4K, and can be
used in various applications. Thanks to
the 1.0 inch CMOS sensor, plus a 10x
optical zoom lens – the XC10 is a high
performing imaging platform, thanks to
the DIGIC CV 5 video processor, and the
proprietary XF-AVC video format.
At the same time, the XC10 also can
record 12 megapixel images, with ISO
sensitivity up to ISO20000. Plus, thanks
